We have seen many inspired individuals use what they have “in their hand”, within their circle of influence, to raise awareness and funding for Ingane Yami.
Running, hiking, cycling, dancing—you name it, whatever your passion, there is potential for it to be used to bring change.
Check out some of our current fundraising initiatives below:
Trans Africa is a pioneering cycle journey traversing South Africa from the West Coast to the East Coast, to raise funds for our Ingane Yami Children's Village Education Fund. The event takes place bi-annually, and began in 2014. To date they have managed to raise over 1.2million rand. The next adventure is scheduled for May 2018. Pearly Grey Ocean Club in Tenerife, Spain, has been a proud supporter of Ingane Yami since we began in 2009. This year’s Golf Day was held in July, and raised over R300,000.
Monteagle Eagle Logistics have set their eyes towards the goal of raising funds to build a Multi-Purpose Astro Sports Field at Ingane Yami . This is an on-going goal over the course of 2016/ 2017. The first of such efforts towards reaching this goal was a fundraising challenge taken up by Bruce Hughes, the MD of Monteagle Eagle, who took on the Everest Trail Race: one of the world’s toughest, high-altitude, multi-day, ultra-marathons.
